Tsunami Products ~ Water From Air? Inside an Atmospheric Water Generator: Air Intake, Water Extraction and Water Filtration…DRINK!

July 5, 2022 by Michelle Leave a Comment

NEW OLD IDEA. At Tsunami Products, we design and build machines that extract water from humidity in the air — efficiently and economically.

How might this technology help us on the Coastside?

Pescadero Schools have no potable water. How can that be in 2022?

Their County Service Area No. 11 (CSA 11) water system serves 90 residents, but not the schools. Tsunami products are designed for solar power and Pescadero would have space for that. Only $30k for the Tsunami-500 (not including solar panels).

1. Air Intake

Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) extract water from humidity in the air. Moist ambient air is pulled into the Tsunami® unit by fans. A multi-layer air filter removes dust, pollen, and other airborne particles.

2. Water Extraction

Next, the air is drawn through a series of condensing coils, where water vapor is cooled down sufficiently to reach the dew point. This converts water vapor into droplets. Additionally, all Tsunami® units use Tsunami Core Technology™ — a special patented extraction chamber with a range of features that force water condensation — resulting in greater output. Water is then extracted and collected into a storage tank.

Tsunami Core Technology™ and other proprietary improvements dramatically enhance the process of water extraction, allowing Tsunami® units to achieve great energy efficiency.

3. Water Filtration

The collected water is purified through a multi-stage filtration system, where all the possible impurities and pathogens are removed. At this point, water is completely pure and safe to drink. What’s more: unlike tap water, it’s chemical-free.

Inside atmospheric water generator

Tsunami-500

Tsunami-500 AWG made in USA

Medium-scale atmospheric water generator.

The unit is perfect for homes, offices, schools, hospitals, gymnasiums, cafés and restaurants, hotels and resorts, as well as other facilities.

Tsunami-500 delivers water right to your own storage reservoir, fridge and/or integrated ice-maker, on-sink dispenser, or another dispenser of your choice.

Water production rate:
0.5 – 7.8 gallons per hour

Physical dimensions: 42″ x 42″ x 98″ / 1 x 1 x 2.5 m (W x L x H)

Power source: Power Grid (Single phase) / Solar system (8000 watts).

Power consumption: 5.8-7.5 Kilowatts per hour — it varies depending on ambient conditions (air temperature and relative humidity).

Operating conditions: temperature 60-100°F, relative humidity 50-90%. The unit produces water as long as the dew point is above 50°F. The higher the dew point, the more water production can be expected.

Tsunami-750

Tsunami-750 AWG made in USA

Medium-scale atmospheric water generator. This multi-purpose unit is as efficient as it gets! The unit works off of a 3-phase power source.

The unit is perfect for homes, offices, schools, hospitals, gymnasiums, cafés and restaurants, hotels and resorts, as well as other facilities. Multiples of these units can be put together for use in a water bottling plant.

Tsunami-750 delivers water right to your own storage reservoir, fridge, and/or integrated ice-maker, on-sink dispenser, or another dispenser of your choice.

Water production rate:

up to 329 gal (1242 L) per day

Physical dimensions: 42″ x 42″ x 102″ / 1 x 1 x 2.6 m (W x L x H)

Power source: Power Grid (3-phase) / Solar system.

Power consumption: 8-11 Kilowatts per hour — it varies depending on ambient conditions (air temperature and relative humidity).

Working conditions: temperature 50-115°F / 10-45°C, relative humidity 30-100%. The unit produces water as long as the dew point is above freezing temperatures of 32°F / 0°C. The higher the dew point, the better water production can be expected.

Tsunami R/DH AWG made in USA

Tsunami-R/DH is designed to control the climate inside a greenhouse and collect excessive humidity which is condensed into reusable water.

Multi-faceted greenhouse climate control.
Reduced humidity. Cleaned air.
The collected water is used for irrigation.

Custom-designed AWG made in USA

Custom-designed units are large-scale atmospheric water generators, yet compact and highly efficient.

Suitable for continual or backup water supply for various facilities.
