The Pilarcitos Creek Bridge Remodeling Project:
This project is federally funded, and must meet federal bridge standards.
The construction project will take one and half years.
Traffic. Previous design was going to close the bridge completely during construction. This design will keep one lane open 95% to 99% of the time, during the 18 month construction period. It will be open for traffic, bikes and pedestrians. The single lane will run from North to South, coming from Hwy 92, going South, along Main St.. People will exit Half Moon Bay, via Kelly, Hwy 1, and then t0 Hwy 92 east. There will be lots of signage indicating the construction.
Funding. The Federal Highway Bridge Program has funded the design and EIR so far. Construction will cost $7 million.
$6.5 million will come from the feds.
11% will come from the City ~ $800
When does the crosswalk at the south end of the bridge go in?
