Moss Beach “Crosswalk” Update: MCC Barbara Mathewson Asks To Have the Electronic Signs Returned

June 13, 2020 by Michelle Leave a Comment

VIDEO. At the Midcoast Community Council on 6/8/2020, Council person Barbara Mathewson reports on the status of the, now infamous, Moss Beach crosswalk.

History. From the Office of Assemblymember Kevin Mullin: At some point a citizen complained to Mullin’s office. The office is required to pass the citizen safety complaint up the food chain to Cal Trans. Cal Trans did not check with the County, or anyone, and a work order was created, and voila, you get a crosswalk-in-a-day.

Barbara followed up with Supervisor Horsley recently to ask him why the electronic warning signs were taken down. He did not know they had been taken down. He said his office would contact CalTran to ask them to put the signs back.

Feel free to follow up with Supervisor Horsley’s office.
