Join the Elections Team for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election

The March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election is fast approaching and the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division is seeking qualified, community service-oriented candidates to serve in a variety of positions for the upcoming election.

Below is a brief description of the positions available:

Vote Center Representatives – We are seeking candidates to serve in the 42 Vote Centers located throughout the County. Multi-lingual individuals are highly encouraged to apply, particularly those who speak Spanish, Chinese, Korean, or Tagalog. Vote CenterRepresentatives receive $19.88 per hour.

 

Student Vote Center Ambassador Program – We are looking for 300 eligible Student Vote Center Ambassadors to assist in the operation of Vote Centers on Election Day. Students earn $140 for each day that they work, including $25 for attending the mandatory training.

 

Election Materials Couriers – Election Materials Couriers are stipend employees responsible for returning ballots from Vote Centers after the close of polls on Election Day. Couriers are paid $65 for attending training and working on Election Night. The mileage reimbursement rate is $.575 per mile.

 

Vote Center Volunteers – Vote Center Volunteers are stipend employees who will staff our curbside ballot boxes on what are historically our busiest days. Volunteers are paid $140 for each day that they work.

La elección primaria presidencial del 3 de marzo de 2020 se acerca rápidamente y la División de Registro y Elecciones del Condado de San Mateo está buscando candidatos calificados, orientados al servicio comunitario para servir en una variedad de posiciones para las próximas elecciones.
