VIDEO. At the City of Half Moon Bay 6/16/2020 Special City Council Meeting the board decided to form Committee to consider the renewal of the San Mateo County Sheriff contract. The contract represents almost 30% of the City budget. The contract is in the 9th year with a two year extension.
City Manager, Bob Nisbet, and Deputy City Manager, Matthew Chidester, will be on the committee with three City Council members 3-4 times per year.
Head elected Sheriff for San Mateo County, Carlos Bolanos, and Sheriff for the Coastside, Saul Lopez, were in attendance.
