Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and in accordance with Assembly Bill 361, which modifies California Government Code Section 54953, the Boardroom will not be open to the public for the February 17, 2022, Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Coastside County Water District. This meeting will be conducted remotely via teleconference only.

Procedures to make a public comment with Zoom Video/Conference – As a reminder, all participants except the Board Members and Staff are muted on entry.
From a computer: (1) Using the Zoom App. at the bottom of your screen, click on “Participants” and then “Raise Hand”. Participants will be called to comment in the order in which they are received. Begin by stating your name and place of residence.

(2) Using the Zoom App, at the bottom of your screen click on “Chat” and then type that you wish to make a comment into the Chat Box. Ensure that the “To:” field is populated by either “Everyone” or “the Moderator”. Begin by stating your name and place of residence.

At this time members of the public may address the Board of Directors on issues not listed on the agenda which are within the purview of the Coastside County Water District. Comments on matters that are listed on the agenda may be made at the time the Board is considering each item. Each speaker is allowed a maximum of three (3) minutes and must complete and submit a speaker slip. The President of the Board will recognize each speaker, at which time the speaker should proceed, give their name and address and provide their comments to the Board.
4) Review Results of Request for Proposals for Financing of Capital Improvements to the Water System, and Confirm, as Authorized by Resolution 2022-03, Proceedings with First Foundation Bank as the Lender.

The District has engaged Robert Schultz, Principal Hydrogeologist with Geo Blue Consulting to review and summarize background information including historical studies on the District’s local water source alternatives as well as to provide a hydrological perspective on options that may be available to the District.
During the Board Workshop, Mr. Schultz will provide an overview of the various local water source alternatives and will lead a discussion with the Board on strategizing ways to optimize use of local water sources.
A copy of Mr. Schultz’s slide deck that he will review in the meeting is attached.

Regular meetings of the CCWD Board of Directors are held once each month on the second Tuesday. Regular meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the District Office located at 766 Main Street, Half Moon Bay.
The date, time and place of a regular meeting may be changed by the Board of Directors in specific cases by a motion duly passed at a meeting duly called and held. Public notice shall be posted of any such change in the date, time or place of a regular meeting.
