Food waste is a contributor to climate change because when food is wasted, we are also wasting ALL of the water, energy, and resources that went into growing, transporting, and selling that food!
That’s why this June, we’re focusing on how you can fight food waste and help save our precious resources and even save money!

Contest Rules
How to Enter: Entries will be accepted by email. Send all recipes to sustainability@hmbcity.com. Recipe entries should include food scrap or common leftover ingredients. Photos of written recipes or typed versions will be accepted. Be sure to include your name and preferred contact method in the body of the email.
Prize: Up to 3 winners will receive $50 Market Money. Prize can be redeemed with Coastside Farmer’s Market vendors. Prizes are sponsored by Republic Services.
Entry Period: June 12th, 2020 – July 20th, 2020
Eligibility: Winners must reside within Half Moon Bay City limits or be an active student of a Half Moon Bay school. Proof of residency or enrollment may be required.
