Have You Filled Out the Survey on Potential Carter Park Improvements?

June 13, 2019 by Michelle

SURVEY. Many people visit John L. Carter Memorial Park (Carter Park) throughout the year to enjoy picnics, music, relaxation, live theater, and family time. Your input is requested as the City explores possible improvements to this park, which is located on Main Street at Stone Pine Road, adjacent to the Stone Pine Shopping Center.

The Half Moon Bay Parks Master Plan identified John L. Carter Memorial Park (Carter Park) as a site with potential to create a more actively utilized space through on-site improvements and enhancements. Currently, Carter Park hosts annual events such as Shakespeare in the Park and the City’s Summer’s End Music Festival. Your feedback will assist City staff in this design phase, which will subsequently be presented for City Council review. Carter Park is located near the entrance to downtown Half Moon Bay on Main Street at Stone Pine Road, adjacent to the Stone Pine Shopping Center.

You’re also invited to attend the Parks and Recreation Commission Public Workshop on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 6 pm at the Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas Street, to see and comment on early design concepts.

Here is a short survey asking about how you presently use Carter Park, and what activities and events you’d like to see there.

And, you’re invited to a Parks and Recreation Commission Public Workshopto see and comment on early design concepts:
Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 6 pm
Half Moon Bay Library

620 Correas Street

Your feedback will assist City staff in this design phase, which will subsequently be presented for City Council review.
