Senior Coastsiders Hosts Xinghai Conservatory of Music Graduates on Flute, Pipa (Chinese Lute) Cello and Italian Opera

Come enjoy a range of music from classical to traditional Chinese performed by professionals from throughout the Bay Area.
These performers graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music and are excellent in their majors.
Performances by Goerge Xu on flute, Grace Zhuang on Pipa, and Jane Kuang on Cello.
Additionally, the audience will enjoy Lorraine Li’s popular singing and Sha Hong performing Italian opera.
These artists have received many awards and will also be bringing some of their young students to perform.
And a special treat will be a performance by 91 year old vocalist Professor Li Cheng.
Concert is free and open to the public. Sunday, October 30th at 2:00PM.
The pipa, pípá, or p’i-p’a is a traditional Chinese musical instrument, belonging to the plucked category of instruments. Sometimes called the “Chinese lute”, the instrument has a pear-shaped wooden body with a varying number of frets ranging from 12 to 31.
The Xinghai Conservatory of Music, also known as the Xinghai Conservatory, is a music conservatory in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It has two campuses: one in the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center in Panyu District, another at No. 48, Xianlie Donglu, Tianhe District.
