San Mateo Resource Conservation District Presents on Pescadero Creek’s Flooding, Erosion and Habitat

June 16th, 2021 @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Within lower Pescadero Creek and its floodplain are homes, businesses, roads, agriculture, and threatened and endangered species that are impacted by flooding, bank erosion and degraded habitat.

In response to community concerns and requests for help, and building on what we learned in Butano Creek, we began our quest to find win-win solutions for lower Pescadero Creek from the lagoon to the high school.

We’d like to share what we have learned, hear your thoughts, and get feedback as we consider next steps. We will present our understanding of how the creek functions and how it would behave in different locations under various possible conditions, such as different streamflows and logjams, and talk about next steps.

We hope you will join!
