The Half Moon Bay Library will be hosting a Mental Health First Aid training session on Saturday, February 24 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Sunday, February 25, 2024, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The eight-hour training over those two days is led by a certified instructor from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and will offer participants a general understanding of mental health crises, substance abuse disorders, risk factors, and, most importantly, how to support an individual during a crisis or connect them with the appropriate resources. The City’s goal is to continue creating mental health awareness throughout the community, and offer this training to anyone who is interested.
