This tour will introduce the State Park and Recreation Commission (SPRC) to Big Basin Redwoods State Park (SP), it’s Reimagining Big Basin, Cornerstone Document, and future planning efforts.

Interested members of the public should meet at the Big Basin Redwoods SP Saddle Mountain Location (20161 Big Basin Way, Boulder Creek, CA) at 8:45 A.M. to attend the tour.

Temperatures and weather may vary.

Please wear layers, bring water and snacks, and pack a lunch if you want to join SPRC for lunch during the tour.

Members of the public will drive their own vehicles on the tour.

The roads are paved winding narrow mountain roads.

Because we will be traveling to locations closed to the public, you must be present at the start of the tour to join.

While not required, State Parks requests that you register for the tour in advance by contacting SPR.Commission@parks.ca.gov by March 04, 2024.

Tour Information: The tour is open to the public and will begin at approximately 9:00am on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 at Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Saddle Mountain location.

Fees will be waived upon entry for members of the public participating in the tour. Members of the public will be expected to drive their own vehicle to the different locations on the tour. The roads are paved winding narrow mountain roads.

To be a part of the tour, participants must be present when the tour begins.

The tour is expected to last approximately 5-6 hours.

Lunch is expected to occur at approximately 12:00pm and tour participants are responsible for bringing their own food, water, and supplies.
