Ordinance Declaring a Water Shortage Emergency and Implementing Water Use Restrictions: Water Shortage Contingency Plan –Stage 2 Implementation
Under California Water Code (CWC) Sections 350 –359 and 31026-31029, Coastside County Water District’s Board of Directors has the authority to declare water shortage emergency conditions and shall thereupon adopt such regulations and restrictions in the delivery of water and the consumption of water within its area of water supply delivered.
Notice of time and date of the public hearing shall be placed in the local newspaper at least seven days prior to the public hearing.
The proposed Ordinance Declaring a Water Shortage Emergency and Implementing Mandatory Water Use Restrictions will be available for public review on March 4, 2022, at 5:00pm on the District’s website.
Public Comments: The public will have the opportunity to protest the declaration of the water shortage emergency and to present their needs to the Board of Directors.
- Written comments should be mailed to Coastside County Water District, Attn: Cathleen Brennan, 766 Main Street, Half Moon Bay, to be received by close of business on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
- Comments can be emailed to cbrennan@coastsidewater.org and will be accepted through the close of business on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
- Verbal comments will be accepted through the close of the public hearing.

Regular meetings of the CCWD Board of Directors are held once each month on the second Tuesday. Regular meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the District Office located at 766 Main Street, Half Moon Bay.
The date, time and place of a regular meeting may be changed by the Board of Directors in specific cases by a motion duly passed at a meeting duly called and held. Public notice shall be posted of any such change in the date, time or place of a regular meeting.
