Vibist Joe Locke is widely considered to be one of the major voices of his instrument, long known to be a soloist capable of stunning physical power and broad emotional range.

Joining Locke are two of his favorite music collaborators, pianist Jim Ridl and award-winning vocalist Kenny Washington – a jazz virtuoso who thrills audiences with his soulful interpretations and seemingly limitless range.

Look forward to this collaboration bringing some jazz and pop classics from such diverse artists as Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder, Cole Porter, Billy Strayhorn, Bonnie Raitt, Wayne Shorter and Sam Cooke, as well as some originals especially chosen for Bach’s unique setting. Locke says, “For me, music is all about communication, and this is going to be a wonderful ‘Three-Way Conversation’!”

Locke has performed and recorded with a diverse range of notable musicians, including Grover Washington Jr, Raul Midón, Kenny Barron, Eddie Henderson, Cecil Taylor, Dianne Reeves, Eddie Palmieri, and Ron Carter.

Locke consistently ranks at the top of all critics and readers polls and is the recipient of multiple awards including several Jazz Journalists Association’s Mallet Player of the Year awards.
