Singer, pianist, composer and five-time Grammy nominee, Karrin Allyson, has demonstrated an uncanny ability to ‘get inside’ a lyric — to take over a song and reshape it into something magical. Throughout her live performances and her 15 previous albums, Karrin’s talent runs the musical gamut between French chansons, The Great American Songbook, instrumental jazz standards with new lyrics, pop, blues, bossa nova, and her original compositions.
Praised as “one of the most grounded singers working today,” with an “exceptionally keen eye for the smart, semi-obscure pop or jazz number that speaks directly to the moment,” (NY Times) Karrin is a storyteller who swings and is still singing to you—in the key of now.
