Willing to Serve? City of Half Moon Bay Parks and Recreation Commission Vacancy – Apply Today!

PRESS RELEASE. From the City of Half Moon Bay.

Are you interested in getting involved in your community? The City of Half Moon Bay is accepting Willing to Serve forms from individuals interested in serving on its Parks and Recreation Commission. Applicants must be age 18 or older. This vacancy will fill a seat on the Commission set to expire in December 2023, with potential for re-appointment.

The Parks and Recreation Commission is a five-member commission that meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Members of this body provide a valuable service to the community, assisting staff and the City Council in making important decisions affecting Half Moon Bay’s parks and recreation issues. Members are appointed by the City Council.

 

The deadline to submit a “Willing to Serve” form is August 5, 2022. Forms are available at Half Moon Bay City Hall, on the City’s website, or may be received by mail or email upon request.

To request a Willing to Serve form, or for specific requirements and additional information, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at (650) 726-8271.

 

Hard copy Willing to Serve forms may be picked up from and returned to:

Parks and Recreation Commission

Comprised of five individuals representing the community, appointed by the City Council. The Commission advises the Council on various policy issues and other matters related to the City’s parks and recreation programs and facilities. Commissioners serve four-year terms. Commission meetings are held every 4th Wednesday of each month 6 pm at 537 Kelly Avenue. Commission meeting agendas are available here, and you may reach the Commissioners by emailing the City Clerk at jblair@hmbcity.com.

Vacante de la Comisión de Parques y Recreación – ¡Solicite hoy!

¿Estás interesado en involucrarte en tu comunidad? La Ciudad de Half Moon Bay está aceptando formularios Dispuestos a Servir de personas interesadas en servir en su Comisión de Parques y Recreación. Los solicitantes deben tener 18 años o más. Esta vacante ocupará un puesto en la Comisión que expirará en diciembre de 2023, con posibilidad de reelección.

La Comisión de Parques y Recreación es una comisión de cinco miembros que se reúne el cuarto miércoles de cada mes. Los miembros de este organismo brindan un servicio valioso a la comunidad, ayudando al personal y al Concejo Municipal a tomar decisiones importantes que afectan los parques y la recreación de Half Moon Bay.
