Register! Coastside Chamber Hosts the 32nd Annual Farms, Fish & Flowers Behind-the-Scenes 2023 Tours

July 22nd, 2023 @ 9:00am - 5:00pm

The 32nd (2023) Annual Farms, Fish & Flowers offers the general public a once-a-year opportunity to visit the Half Moon Bay Coastside’s nurseries, greenhouses, historic sites, farms and even a working harbor. Many of these businesses are not ordinarily open to the public except during our event when they invite visitors for a behind-the-scenes tour of their facilities and operations. There are a wide variety of experiences. The public can enjoy guided tours of flower gardens, organic herbs and field greens, a working dairy farm, Pillar Point Harbor, and much more. Host locations will share helpful tips for pruning and caring for flowers, others will share their key to an efficient operation and some will share their colorful and fascinating family history and how it shaped their businesses today.

PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS SO FAR…

Once we have all of the locations confirmed, we will construct the tours.

  •  Blue House Farm
We grow an incredible diversity of certified organic vegetables, fruits, and cut flowers year-round, on 60 acres nestled at the end of a small agricultural valley in Pescadero, CA. www.bluehousefarm.com

  •  Coastside Farmers’ Markets
A farmer-directed Certifed Market designed to link Coastside residents with their neighbors – the Coastside farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and culinary artisans that produce some of the most beautiful, nutritious, and creative food in the world. www.coastsidefarmersmarkets.org

  •  Pomponio Ranch
Pasture-raised and pasture-finished livestock. The Ranch has been in service since the 1880s. Pomponio Ranch’s latest chapter began in 2010 when the ranch was purchased by a local family who had a deep passion for the environment, animal husbandry, and the coastal ranching community. www.pomponioranchmeat.com

  •  Simms Organics
We grow everything we sell on our 20 acres of CCOF-certified organic farmland located in Pescadero, California. We harvest the day before our market, load up the truck and the next day are ready to bring fresh produce from our farm to your table. www.simmsorganics.com

  •  The HEAL Project Farm
Health. Environment. Agriculture. Learning. The HEAL Project is a non-profit based in Half Moon Bay that teaches kids where their food comes from and why it matters. We achieve this through our school-to-farm field trips and school garden classes. www.thehealproject.org
