With the popularity of Mavericks and typical nice weather in early October, we expect traffic will be heavy and parking will be limited. We encourage locals to walk, rideshare or bike to ease the traffic and avoid delays. To support this, we have added extra bike racks to the Festival layout in the Education Zone parking lot.
Brought to you by the people who bring you the Mavericks Surf Awards.
Supported by Powerlines Productions.

It Takes a Village: Inaugural Mavericks Festival Honors the Community That Makes Mavericks
From American Surf Magazine, by Kyveli Sophia on October 11th, 2022.
“Everybody comes here to test their metal…because Mavericks will test you to the max.”
The undeniable truth of Northern California’s famous big wave was spoken on October 1, 2022, at the inaugural Mavericks Festival by Jeff Clark, the man credited with pioneering and surfing this rugged wave alone for 15 years.
The day-long event marked the launch of the 2022-23 digital submission big wave contest, and over 10,000 people enjoyed the music and local vendors gathered at the Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay.
