October 13th, 2021 @ 11:30am - 12:00pm

South Gate of HMB and Highway 1 Construction Alert: Road Closures to Remove K-Rails

Starting Monday, August 23 lane one (the inside, or “fast” lane) in both the northbound and southbound directions on Highway 1 will be temporarily closed from Seymour Street to Wavecrest Road.
This closure is necessary in order to remove the K-rail dividers from the median of the highway, followed by grinding, paving, and striping of the roadway.

This is part of the Highway 1 Safety-South improvement project.

One lane will continue to be open in each direction at all times.

The lane closure is expected to be in place until the end of September.

For the safety of motorists and work crews, please drive slowly and with extra caution in the construction zone, and watch for equipment and personnel.
Your patience is appreciated.
