Republic Services is teaming up with the City of Half Moon Bay to hold our annual Earth Day Recycling Event for Half Moon Bay residents. The event will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Smith Field Parking Lot (end of Wavecrest Road), and services are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Services include:

No Contact E-Waste Recycling: Place your e-waste in your car’s trunk or back seat and remain inside your vehicle until a staff member can retrieve your items. Electronic waste accepted at this event includes TVs, monitors, printers, computers, cables, cell phones, lamps, DVD players, etc.

Paper Shredding: Place all your boxes for shredding (3 boxes per household maximum) material in the trunk of your car. When arriving on site, follow the staff’s directions to the designated paper shredding location, where the vendor will retrieve the materials from your trunk.

Compost Giveaway: Remember to bring your own bags, shovels, buckets, etc. to get your compost! Households are limited to 0.5 cubic yards, which is approximately the size of your 96-gallon, organics cart. Any excess material will be left out over the weekend.

Día de la Tierra 2023 y del Reciclaje Comunitario – Sábado, 15 de abril 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Republic Services se está asociando con la Ciudad de Half Moon Bay para celebrar nuestro evento anual de reciclaje del Día de la Tierra para los residentes de Half Moon Bay. El evento tendrá lugar el sábado 15 de abril de 2023, de 9 a.m. al mediodía en el estacionamiento de Smith Field (al final de Wavecrest Road), y los servicios se ofrecen por orden de llegada.

Los servicios incluyen:

Reciclaje de desechos electrónicos sin contacto: Coloque sus desechos electrónicos en el maletero o el asiento trasero de su automóvil y permanezca dentro de su vehículo hasta que un miembro del personal pueda recuperar sus artículos. Los desechos electrónicos aceptados en este evento incluyen televisores, monitores, impresoras, computadoras, cables, teléfonos celulares, lámparas, reproductores de DVD, etc.

Trituración de papel: Coloque todas sus cajas para triturar (3 cajas por hogar máximo) material en el maletero de su automóvil. Al llegar al sitio, siga las instrucciones del personal hasta el lugar designado para triturar papel, donde el vendedor recuperará los materiales de su maletero.

Sorteo de compost: ¡Recuerde traer sus propias bolsas, palas, cubos, etc. para obtener su composta! Los hogares están limitados a 0.5 yardas cúbicas, que es aproximadamente el tamaño de su carrito orgánico de 96 galones. Cualquier exceso de material se dejará fuera durante el fin de semana.
