Heads Up: AM 6/5/2022 AIDS/LifeCycle Bike Race Coming Through Half Moon Bay and the MidCoast

AIDS/LifeCycle is a 7-day fundraising bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles benefitting the HIV/AIDS services of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center (501c3 CA non-profit organizations raising monies for the purpose of caring for persons with HIV/AIDS and AIDS related issues).
The Ride will take place from June 5, 2022 – June 11, 2022, with approximately 2,400 riders expected to participate.
On Sunday, June 5, cyclists enter Half Moon Bay at approximately 8 AM and continue through until approximately 11:30 AM.
The route goes through Half Moon Bay on parts of Kelly Avenue, Highway 1, and numerous other streets, so we wanted to provide this heads-up for community members.
Please be watchful and exercise additional caution if you see participants in this event.
What to expect:
- On Saturday, June 4, their Route Marking Team passes through Half Moon Bay to mark course turns with AIDS/LifeCycle-branded route marking signage.
- On Sunday, June 5, cyclists enter Half Moon Bay at approximately 8 AM and continue through until approximately 11:30 AM.
- On Sunday, June 5, the route clean-up team will remove all event signage by 3:00 PM.
