Vintage Roots, Modern Style

My Grandfather, Angelo Minoletti, like thousands of immigrants, came to America to make a better life for his family. He settled in San Francisco’s North Beach and made wine for the family with my father, Attilio Minoletti. The making of wine was their simple pleasure, blending the old with the new.

 Paul Minoletti

Barterra is the premier Half Moon Bay winery, offering a range of fine wines from California’s top vineyards, with a focus on Italian varietals.

Visiting Barterra is like taking a tour through California’s various appellations. We offer premium wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma, Carneros, Lodi, Amador, Alexander Valley, Mendocino, Lodi, Paso Robles, Russian River Valley and Madera.  We are constantly searching for the finest wines available and have a “hands on” approach – visiting the vineyards and meeting with our winemakers.

Stop by our tasting room and you’re likely to find owners Paul and Ginger Minoletti, or son Chris and his wife May, behind the counter, ready to pour! You may purchase wine tastings, wine by the glass, bottles of wine, and wine by the case. We also offer wine club memberships.

Wines carrying the Barterra label are available for purchase exclusively from our tasting room in Half Moon Bay.

We sell our wines directly to you, the consumer. This lets us guarantee the quality of each bottle we sell, because we know it has been bottled, transported and stored with the utmost care.

At Barterra, what you taste is what you get.

Barterra Winery was founded in 2005, by Bart and Mary Colucci at the age of 71. Bart has a nose (and palate) for exceptional wines, and he personally curated Barterra’s selection of unique, premium wines.

In January of 2019, Bart and Mary decided it was time to retire – and turned the winery over to the Minoletti Family who continue in the Italian inspired tradition.

We thrive in making fine wines that enrich the taste & soul.

Other Musicians that Play at Barterra Winery

No Static, led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Scott Stone, is an energetic SF Bay area band that plays a grooving and unique selection of rock and soul music.

Rick Laub has enjoyed a prosperous musical career that has spanned almost 50 years, performing coast to coast in numerous venues and multiple genres. In recent years, he has created a solo act, performing all styles of music, covering the contemporary to the classics.

Rooted in tradition yet fresh and new, SAVAGE BOND is an “AmeriCali” band featuring fun and soulful original Americana songs with Old-Time, Bluegrass, Folk, and a little Country in the mix.

Ship of Thieves ~ Coastside musicians Steve Nail & Chris Rogers. They provide a fine blend of acoustic folk originals and familiar classics, with poignant storytelling featuring close harmony and wide-open landscapes.

Finding musical inspiration from Bach to Bernstein to Bacharach, Carol Siegal enjoys bringing Music to Make Your Heart Sing with her flowing solo piano stylings. When not grooving the keyboards in rock cover bands, her mainstay is journeying with her audiences through jazzy Great American Songbook Standards.

Florida Keys solo singer & acoustic guitar musician Michael Hammond will be playing your favorite tunes from the 1950s to the 1990s. His influences ranged from the creativeness of Jimmy Page to the energy and harmony of Paco de Lucia. Michael grew up in Upstate New York and the Florida Keys. He reconnected with a love from his 20’s who lives in Half Moon Bay and has been performing bicoastally for the last four years.

David Casentini

David’s contemporary, pop and rock influences provide a wide variety of music that’s sure to please music lovers of any generation!

The Frank Cefalu Duo with Rick Laub ~ folk/Americana/R&B

Rick Mixter

My instrumentals range from flashy fingerpicking to descriptive pieces, waltzes and some energetic slide guitar.  My songs include social commentary and stories of unusual characters, social commentary and reflections, murder ballads and love songs.

Jazz the Dog, from Santa Cruz.  Jazz the Dog is the new name for an old band of musical friends: Rhan Wilson, Rick Zeek, and Patti Maxine. No, they don’t play jazz, although they can be a bit jazzy. They actually play an eclectic mix of Americana, originals, soul, and sometimes oddly rearranged cover tunes. Slow and steady, fast and pumping improvising as they go.

All original music spanning a range of genres from blues to Americana/roots music to power pop ballads by Michael Vincent & U No Who.

Santa Cruz-based acoustic musicians Rick Zeek & Rhan Wilson. They play a unique mix of Americana, originals, soul, and sometimes rearranged cover tunes. Their music is slow and steady, fast and pumpin’, groovin’; on a Sunday afternoon (or Friday night, in this case).

Mark Kostrzewa

Mark is an original finger-style acoustic guitar player living out on the San Mateo county coastside just south of the San Francisco. Ranging in styles from new-age ambient, slide, flamenco, Brazilian, and contemporary original compositions.
