You will be guided through a 6-step workflow, at the end of which you’ll have a professional looking color portrait.

This course will use Procreate on iPad but can also be done in any digital painting software on iPad, laptop, or desktop computer.

The basics of Procreate are part of this live virtual class.

In this 6-day course you’ll discover:

• the basics of Procreate on iPad

• how to find and identify good reference photos to work from and what to avoid

• the basics of shape design to aid in drawing/transferring your portrait from reference photos

• how to use the concepts of local color to fill in your shapes and color key your art for painting

• how value is used to express form and move from 2D to 3D using light and shadow

• the one secret trick to making your portrait appear real

• the final flourish of details and textures to polish off your portrait and make it special
