We’re excited to share that the County is in the final stages of Connect the Coastside: Consideration of the Final Draft Plan for Approval!
We want to thank everyone who contributed to the Plan’s development and provided feedback.

Please note that County Planning Commission meetings are held online and in English only. If you wish to provide public comment in another language, please contact Janneth Lujan, Commission Secretary at jlujan@smcgov.org.
How to Submit a Public Comment in Writing:
By email to planning-commission@smcgov.org by 5:00 p.m. the day before the meeting. Your email should include the specific agenda item on which you are commenting. The length of the emailed comment should be commensurate with the five minutes customarily allowed for verbal comments, which is approximately 300 to 400 words.
What’s next?
Once a recommendation is made by the Planning Commission, the Plan will be presented to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to consider adoption.
The Plan has already been instrumental in the progress toward Midcoast transportation improvements. The Plan’s analyses, narrative, and graphics helped support a successful grant application to the Transportation Authority’s 2021 Measures A and W Highway Program Call for Projects and is helping partners implement related projects. If the Plan is approved, the County and its partners will continue to pursue project implementation.
