COMMENTS? San Mateo County Planning Receives The Off-Leash Dog Pilot Program at Pillar Point Bluff and Quarry Park

Consideration of a Coastal Development Permit, for the County Parks Department’s Off-Leash Dog Recreation Pilot Program.

The proposed pilot program is limited to Pillar Point Bluffs and Quarry Park, located in the unincorporated Moss Beach and El Granada areas of San Mateo County.

This project is appealable to the California Coastal Commission.

The application was deemed complete on November 23, 2021.

THURSDAY, JULY 15, 2021

Today San Mateo County Parks, acting as the Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), has released for review and comment, a Draft Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Off-leash Dog Recreation Pilot Program at Pillar Point Bluff and Quarry Park. View the document along with the Notice of Availability and Intent, attached below.

The Draft IS/MND is available for review for 30 days from July 15, 2021 to August 13, 2021 pursuant to Section 15105 of the CEQA Guidelines. Persons responding are urged to submit their comments in writing to the County by mail or email no later than 5 p.m. on August 13.
