Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society Presents the Azar Lawrence Experience 8-Piece Ensemble’s Sizzling Album “New Sky”

Saxophonist great, Azar Lawrence celebrates his new album New Sky with his 8-piece ensemble who sizzle to his original compositions.
Lawrence at just 19 years old was chosen by Elvin Jones for a 3 plus year stint and then by McCoy Tyner for 5 years to fill the shoes of John Coltrane. Azar recorded and played with Miles Davis on his Dark Magus album, wrote and recorded with Earth, Wind & Fire and Marvin Gaye to name a few.
In the early 2000’s, Azar surged back onto the jazz scene and continues to roar, electrifying audiences with outstanding original compositions inspired by his intense spiritual feelings, as well as songs from the Coltrane songbook.
