Students with some watercolor experience will explore a variety of abstract and loose painting
techniques to help create dynamic and fluid paintings in this live virtual course. Reference photos will be emailed in advance.
Ages 18 and over.

Tuition: $110
This is a 4-week live virtual class for those with some watercolor experience. Students will explore a variety of abstract and loose painting techniques to help create dynamic and fluid paintings. Class will consist of teacher-led demonstrations with opportunities to paint along, plus weekly projects to do outside the class. Reference photos will be emailed in advance. Individual feedback is provided during class time. BONUS: A class video will be made available on YouTube. Livestream link will be provided after registration.
Recommended materials:
• Watercolor block or pad – cold press or hot press, 140 lb.
• Watercolor paints: Professional grade paints strongly recommended
• Pencil
• Kneaded eraser
• 2 large (16 oz.) containers for water
• Large flat nylon brush – 1 inch or wider
• Round watercolor brushes – various sizes
• Mop brush or large round brush
• Watercolor palette
• Paper towels, tissues
• Old bath towel (for putting under painting when using lots of water)
• Roll of blue painter’s tape
• Old plastic credit or store cards
• Palette knife
• Pipettes
• Watercolor or acrylic inks: Select whatever colors you like. Recommend at least three colors and white.
Optional materials:
• Dagger or sword brush
• Masking fluid
• Winsor & Newton granulation medium
• Wax resist crayons
